Well first off, we haven’t posted in quote some time because we got a computer virus which infected all of our family photos and video. I have been anti-Macintosh for quite some time, but after this happened on my Windows computer and after working on a Mac all day at work, I have become an apple convert. Of course I haven’t had to swallow the price of a Mac, but as far as usability and the LACK OF VIRUSES, I am certainly tempted to make the transition full force.
With that said… Jackie and I went snowboarding for our 4 year anniversary! It was her first time ever and we had such a great time. Well, that’s from my perspective, you will have to ask Jackie what she thought of it. Some people say on your first date you should take a girl snowboarding to see how quick she loses her temper. She was patient, and caught on very quickly. Of course we had some good tips from a ski instructor who was passing by.
Jackie learned from trial by fire. I had her go on the intermediate slopes to start off since (in my opinion) it is harder to learn snowboarding when you are moving slow). She didn’t hesitate… well she had no choice, we were already on the lift and there was only one way down!
She was a champ and by the time we were halfway down the mountain, she had already caught on and could stay up by herself for a while down the intermediate slopes.
Well, your legs can only stay up for so long, and she got tired after a few hours. We still had quite a ways to go down the hill, so I suggested we sit on out snowboards and sled (bad idea, although very fun). I didn’t realize it was against the rules and we were yelled at by the ski patrol who were on the ski lifts, as well as the ones we passed by. Not to mention some other random people. But it was fun nonetheless.
